I have worked with Consigli for about 2 years now and have been on the interviewer side several times. There are no set questions. Of course, we'll ask you why you're interested in working with our company, how you got into the field, and we'll share with you what we think, based on your resume, you may find most interesting about us. You are generally interviewed by people who would be your peers or immediate supervisors. The chat with HR (and it really is a chat) is about as formal as the process gets. If the people you would be working with think that you'll be a good fit for our company (assertive, go-getter, self-starter, confident but not obnoxious), we will make our recommendation to HR to take your application to the next level. That's it. We work so well together because we select for people we know will work well with us. That's the beauty of having your peers interview you. It's not some person who is really outside of the day-to-day work who decides is you're a good fit. It's the very people who you will be working with. This is also allowing us to make strides with diversity. Because your original assessment is based on your personality and work style, it doesn't matter what color you are or what gender you identify as. In our project management ranks in DC, we have reached near gender parity and are about 1/3 non-Caucasian. There's still a ways to go, but for the industry, that's a pretty good place to be.
