      I interviewed at Corient

      Interview

Anyone considering a job here should read this before applying, and proceed with caution. I went through an interview process that spanned six rounds, during which compensation expectations were clearly discussed and confirmed multiple times, both verbally and in writing. Urgency around start date and relocation was emphasized as a condition of the role. At offer stage, I was told I had the position, but the compensation presented was materially lower than what had been represented (approximately $50K less in total), with no explanation or attempt to recalibrate. When the discrepancy was raised immediately, communication went radio silent rather than the process being closed out professionally, despite their awareness that I was actively making arrangements to relocate on an accelerated timeline. Candidates should be aware that early compensation alignment may not be honored through offer, and that the firm appears comfortable advancing candidates deep into the process only to materially revise terms at the end, a textbook bait-and-switch approach.
