I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel
Interview
I initially applied for Retail Associate but during the interview they told me there were no openings for that position. Usually you're supposed to have 2 interviews, but they fast-tracked my interview and offered me a server position even though I've never had any restaurant server experience before, just retail. I first spoke with one of the managers and he asked me my availability, where I go to school, and my personal information, and if I've had server experience before. Since he liked my attitude and confidence, he got the other manager to interview me already and asked me the same thing. So if you've had customer-service related jobs before and you show confidence and a positive attitude, they will like you for sure.
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.
