I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Jacksonville, FL) in Apr 2014
Interview
I walked in and asked for an application the cashier gave me an application and told me to sit at a table and wait for a manager, a manager came and interviewed me asked me three questions why I want to work here, what position am I applying for, and how did I hear about this job. I answered the questions and she told me to call her back the next day. I called her back she told me that they were really busy and to call her tomorrow I called her a day later and she told me to come in two days later for a second interview. I came in for a second interview and a different manager interviewed me she asked me why I wanted to work here, what are my weaknesses, describe a time I was in a difficult situation and how I handled it and she also asked me how would I manage my school work and my work work. I answered the questions and she told me that I got the job.
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.
