I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Statesboro, GA) in May 2011
Interview
Was interesting... was originally hired through a hiring fair for a new store... Was preparing for the grand opening. They of course looked over your application and some were told that they would be contacted at a later date if they were interested, however some, like me, were told to stay for a second interview. I stayed and was interviewed again by a different person. After this interview, I was told to stay where I was for the general manager to come over to check me out and ask me some questions. They were all mainly the same questions such as, how do you handle stress/pressure. Can you work well with others. questions like that. It was a good interview,
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.

Question 1
Give me a situation with a difficult customer and how you handled it
Very easy, seems like they were looking for a pulse. Mine was done at the checkerboard in the dining room. not a difficult job, so not a difficult interview. I don't remember any specific questions
