      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Crocs

      Interview

Please don't apply to work for them. If you do, don't let them take you through seven interviews. I implore you. Why? 1. They waste your time. 2. They lie. 3. They let you attend seven separate interviews then change their minds about what they want in a candidate. 4. They don't care about people. They don't respect people's time. I attended one phone screen and six virtual interviews with Crocs for a remote position. Then, just as I was nearing the end of the interview process, my recruiter gets back to me to tell me that the team has changed their mind about what they want in a candidate. They want someone with more experience. Just, changed their mind. This change was so abrupt and sudden, I now believe they were stringing me along from the beginning. They never seriously considered me for the role at all. They were just hoping someone better came along in the meantime. I did not lose out to the competition. They just decided to go in a different direction. They reposted the job recently. While I do not feel I am owed the position, I do feel I am owed honesty. If they wanted a candidate with more experience, they should have mandated that on the job posting. I would have never applied in the first place. I would have never wasted a month getting my hopes up that they would dignify my time and efforts. To the management and recruiters: Thank you for wasting my time. Thank you for encouraging me and smiling in my face just to let me down in the end. I was originally excited about the prospect of working for Crocs but now I am glad I did not end up on a team ran by such scumbags. You cannot treat me or other people like this. People matter. I matter. To a potential prospect reading this: Please do not be fooled by their friendly website or their notorious brand name. These are not kind, considerate people. It's all smoke and mirrors. They do not care about you or about anyone else. They care about themselves. They have no problem lying to you and pulling the rug out from underneath your feet at the last moment. It's the ol' bait and switch. To a potential customer reading this: I have never sampled or purchased their products but let me leave you with a question: do you really want to give your money to a company that treats people like this?
