I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
Initial conversation with HR then a meeting with the hiring manager. General CV check and experience questions. Nothing that is difficult, as long as you are suitably qualified then this should be simple.
After the interview they state they will be in contact with the outcome but they never were. This was unprofessional.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
I've met the company - and the Head of product - at the SiliconMilkRoundabout event.
They were really open and friendly from the first minute, we talked about real challenges, opportunities after 3 minutes from starting the conversation.
After the event there was an incredibly fast follow-up from their HR and a personal interview was agreed in only 2 emails.
There is an amazingly friendly environment at the company.
They answered all my questions but also asked the hard ones on how I would solve difficult problems with stakeholders, how I would empower and transform the development teams into real product teams, etc..
The interview was a friendly but also highly professional conversation around methodologies, best practices, my experience and their daily life and struggles.
I did not move forward with them after the successful round because of personal reasons and even then their response was highly professional and encouraging, stating that whenever I change my mind they are open to follow up with me.
