I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cvent (Washington, DC) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied through university recruiting.
Had an on campus interview and then an onsite interview (4 rounds).
I was asked very trivial questions like isPalindrome, shuffling a deck of cards etc. One interviewer asked me isPalindrome and the other interviewer asked me to reverse a string. I do not understand what's the point of asking me isPalindrome and reversing a string.
I feel that interviewing candidates must not be asked these kind of trivial questions. They must be asked some new problems and they must be evaluated on the approach they are taking to solve the problems. Anyone with very little programming knowledge may answer these questions perfectly if they prepared beforehand.
