Cvent just acquired a small business called CrowdCompass in Portland, Oregon. As they were looking to expand due to the acquisition, I interviewed for the position of Product Consultant for the Portland office. I first had a phone interview with Alexis Richardson of the Human Resources department headquartered in Virginia. Next, I had a phone interview with Brooke Gracey of the Portland office. I then had an in-person interview, in which I interviewed with 3 different people. They were all extremely laid back and nice. The questions were not difficult and felt more like I was just getting to know them, rather than an intense interview. I thought everything was going well, and received an email from Alexis the following Monday stating that the team enjoyed meeting with me and she would like to schedule one more phone interview with another person at the Virginia headquearters. I responded, taking the first interview time offered. However, she never replied to confirm the interview, and I was never called during the interview time. I emailed her again, which she also never replied to. Then, in one final attempt to make sure there wasn't just something wrong with the emails, I called and left a message on her office phone, to which she never replied to either. The whole thing was extremely unprofessional. It would have been one thing to get a "No", but offering me another interview and then blowing me off was just rude!
