I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cvent (McLean, VA) in Jun 2012
Interview
Applied online and got a call from Recruiter. She set up Technical Phone screen with QA lead. I cleared that and was invited for onsite interview. For first round I was interviewed by 2 ladies , both QA leads. The other Lead had dialed in from remote location ( india may be) and the QA lead that spoke to my while screening was in the room too. She seemed nice and asked good questions.
The lady on phone seemed to have air about herself and started asking me database question, SQL queries and Design questions. Thankfully i have a strong background in databases and was able to answer them correctly. But it left me confused what position they are interviewing me for. It was obvious the lead on phone wanted to show off her knowledge(?) and was asking questions not required for QA. I started to feel may be this company has no structure for interview process.
My second round was with the Qa MAnager followed by VP of product development. I waited for 10 minutes and no one showed up. After some time a very young girl who looked like a recent graduate entered the room . I had doubts if she was the manager and asked about it. She replied that the manager is busy(?) and i will be taking next round. Upon further questioning , i came to know that she was recently hired in the company and was fresh graduate with no prior experience.I was interviewing for a senior position and i have 5 years experience...why will you ask a fresher to interview me? I was so amazed.During the interview process it seemed to me that the girl was a last minute fill in and had no clue what to ask me. After that round the recruiter came and told me that the VP is not in office today and we will conclude the interview .
The over all experience was very bad and the people who interviewed me seemed to have a very weak technical background. It was a total waste of time and it left a very bad after taste

Question 1
All the question were easy and some questions were so conceptually wrong. I was laughing at the interviewer (the lady who dialed in remotely) for asking such questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cvent (Washington, DC)
Interview
I had a 7 hour interview continuously from morning till evening. I wasn't provided food till the end of day. The schedule of who I was interviewing with was unclear and ended up getting interviewed by 7 people. The interviews included a round of coming up with test strategy and test cases for a web page, a 10 min aptitude test and rest of the questions were from your experience. One thing I noticed was half the interviewers did not know what questions to ask me and were unprepared for the interview. Whenever you had questions to ask they were able to answer 1 - 2 questions and said it was time for the other interviewer to come in. Overall the interviewing experience was really bad. They never got back to me until 2 weeks after the interview and thus I decided to move on with another company. Be ready for a rough ride if you go for an interview with this company
