Hi. Analyst/ Sr. Analyst professional services
So it started with me applying for a job at LinkedIn. I got a call from HR in a couple of days.
HR only started me asking technical questions which was a bit weird.
But ok, then I had another round telephonic. This was again technical.
This round was taken by Analyst who was working there, sorry but since when did analyst takes interview for another analyst. Are u out of ur mind ??He will never hire a candidate that can give him competition. How dumb of management or may lazy.
Let's continue, I had nice 30 minutes round and I nailed it . I didn't knew at that time he is analyst.
I was given a written aptitude test by HR. I gave that.
Keep counting this was round 3.
After that they wanted me to give an online test to check technical skill set. I gave that and d nailed that too. Round 4 over.
Now, HR comes and says you will now have a face to face round .
I had lunch(free . Ok taste)
Now I finally met this analyst who took my first telephonic round. OMG this guy was so unprofessional, he was a bit scared also as he might not be an experienced interviewer.
He also shed questions like a robot , and general questions that u ask to break the ice like how was ur day and how did u come. He was asking with whatsoever no expression on his face . It appeared he has been forced to ask those questions and when I replied his reaction was such that he is not at all bothered about what I m saying.. Any ways let's continue
Now he started discussing with me the technical test that I gave. And why would I do some things in one way and not other. It was going okay.
Now if u all use Ms excel, to calculate Rank there is an inbuilt formula for Rank. But there is another way of doing it manually using formula's . Now suppose to students have same total marks, then ideally they will have same rank.
I used Rank formula ( which this analyst didn't knew) , he said why r 2 people having same rank. I said Mr . Analyst they have same marks that's why. U r not specifying whether if they have same marks then higher marks in maths will be considered or anything like that. He said no I want u to give different ranks to all.
I said that would be unethical, we cannot be impartial. (I understood the fact that he did not knew rank formula and calculates ranks using manual formula in which u add a small number to make all of the numbers unique and then use index match for ranking. )
Listening to this he got so angry and his viens started to show from his fore head. He controlled himself and didn't say anything. Then I breezed through the rest of test. Round 5 over.
Now this analyst gave me another test, one in excel and one in power point. It was around 4 . 30 by now.
I finished them by 5.30. Round 6&7 over.
Now Mr analyst wanted to discuss this with me again.i said sure.. Then I took him through both of them and same old story. He was a guy who like to do new things, but those new things are incorrect . And he want me to do those In a incorrect way. Well I went through that. Gave him ppt and showed him excellent analytical test. Round 8&9 over.
Now it Was 6 pm. . I was asked to wait as Manager was late. I said ok sure. I waited till 7.30 pm
Then he came, and started interview at 8 pm . He also wanted to c all the tests I have done since morning. I felt I am being hired for a CEO after giving so many rounds. So showed him
Now after 3 weeks this Boss from US came to India who is a director over there.in between I followed up several times. I was again invited and had 1 hour round with him. Round 12 over.
Now came HR for discussing compensation and all. This HR was so annoying, full of attitude, thinks other person as fool. Starts by saying that industry is not doing good employees are getting 0 zero % raise. And all that . For a moment I felt I should walk out of the room as they d
Now she said she will give raise over my fixed part. And the total amount that comes out, out of tht there will be 90 fixed and 10 variable. So net net on 5 max 10 percent raise in hand.
This not all.. she asked me to sign a 2 yr bond of 80k inr . And said don't expect NY growth .. I felt like giving this bi...H a tight slap. But okay whatever. Round 13 over.
Had a call next day discussed growth bond and all.. bond 2 yr is non negotiable. He also signed it. So he said positively about growth and increments. I requested hin to adjust a bit on salary part and he said ya sure. Round 14 over.
Then I waited for there reply. .... kept waiting. ... After exact 7 days sent them my salary slips...
Cvent didn't bother to reply back. That HR didn't bother to perform her duties.
They wasted so much time and could not even reply. That's just idiotic cvent. U r a small form trying to grow nd U wanna do like this. I am not naming ur Hr or director but they know. So please grow up..
