I got an email to complete an aptitude test. Shortly after completing the test, I got an email to schedule a phone screen with the recruiter. She discussed the role with me and went over my background. It was very conversational, and I enjoyed talking with her. Ultimately, she thought I would be a better fit for a different role and said she would reach out to the other recruiter. I sent a thank you email to this recruiter, hoping to hear more information about this new position. I found this new recruiter on LinkedIn and introduced myself. I had not heard back in over a week, so I sent a follow-up email to the original recruiter and decided to apply to the job they mentioned I'd be a good fit for online, and then I was ghosted. Maybe I was too eager, but I would have liked to receive at least an automated response saying that they have decided to move forward with someone else.
