I applied online. I interviewed at Cvent (Blacksburg, VA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Everything was fine until the final round of interviews for zoom. I was promised one person was going to come in to interview but there were 2 people there. That was fine, not an issue but not expected. However, the bad experience I had were the questions they asked me. They asked me a lot of stuff that wasn't on my resume that I had no experience in. So of course I had to say that I didn't know what they were talking about and this repeated on 4 or 5 times. Having to say "I have no experience in this but I can learn it" 4 - 5 times does not look good in an interview. It was unfair that they asked questions like that that I didn't put on my resume. I understand that they can ask questions off of the resume pertaining to the job but what do they expect if I don't have it on my resume? The only response I can give is "I don't have any experience there but I can learn it." Also, the process was super technical, you don't really have to do research on the company as they don't ask you anything about it. I did research on it to make sure but it was a huge waste of time.
