Submitted my application and didn't hear back. I had a contact at the company who was senior enough to get HR to take a second look at my resume and I was scheduled for a group interview and portfolio review with the team.
Right from the start two of the members of the interview panel where hostile. One even accused me of lying on my resume. I suspect they didn't like that I was being interviewed because of a recommendation of a senior individual at the company and so were suspicious that I was being given special consideration.
The funny thing is that I know the person who they eventually hired for the job. He lasted at the company where we worked together for only a couple of months because he was unreliable. And, he remained at Cvent for less than a year. That alone is enough for me to believe their hiring process is not well thought out.

Interview
If you are a UX designer and if you are asked to work on an assignment as a part of the recruitment process, don't do it. They are most likely going to cheat with you.
My first round was a 30 minutes discussion with their UX manager where he asked me general questions about my work and my journey as a UX designer. In the second round, they gave an aptitude test and it also went fine.
Then in the third round, they gave me an assignment to work on, I spend 4 days working on the assignment and submitted my best work (very detailed and as thorough as I could make it) but in return, they sent me a mail saying they are going to go ahead with other candidates. Now, I may not be a very good designer as per them and they may have found a better candidate for the position but I have also taken interviews of junior designers in my company and we have always made sure that if we have given any assignment, we at least have a discussion on that and give the candidate a chance to explain their work. They just sent me a mail saying I am not selected. I sent a mail to them and asked for feedback on my assignment but they didn't even bother to respond.
They wanted some free work I guess.
