I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cyngn (Seattle, WA) in May 2016
Interview
Terrible. I talked to some HR, and moved on to the next round. Then, I had to do a Hackerrank...that I did just as well as other applicants (who ended up getting the job), if not BETTER, possibly, and DID NOT GET THE JOB. How is that even possible?
Also, very fishy because the interview process was so goddamn short and not in any way comprehensive. Um, and HR doesn't want to follow-up full-time after the internship? What's the point of even having an internship then, if not to look for talent? Because one thing's for sure, it's absolutely not for "cheap labor" -- they're paying a ton.

It was a very smooth interview process. The recruiter was quick to answer any questions I had during the process and I understood what was expected of me. It seemed like an exciting company to work at but I unfortunately did not get an offer.

Question 1
They asked questions about my background, then the technical round included coding and system design
I applied on LinkedIn, and the recruiter reached out to schedule a 30-minute initial interview. However, the interview was cancelled just hours before on the same day. If there’s no match, perhaps it would be better to do it right at the HR screening round.
First round with the hiring manager: past experience + technical questions.
On site: 3 rounds (two coding + one behavioral with the hiring manager)
Final round with the director of the team
