In my experience, the interview process was disappointing and left me frustrated.
Based on the job description, I believed my qualifications aligned well with the role and was hopeful about the opportunity. During the process, two scheduled interview meetings did not occur as planned, and I did not receive advance notice before either one. I had arranged my schedule around these interviews, including changing a previously scheduled medical appointment, so the lack of communication was difficult.
After more than two weeks in the interview process, I received an email informing me that the position had been placed on hold.
I understand that hiring needs can change and that positions may be paused or canceled. However, I would have appreciated more timely communication throughout the process so I could have planned accordingly. For job seekers who are balancing financial obligations, medical appointments, and other responsibilities, clear and prompt communication can make a significant difference.
I hope the company considers improving communication with candidates during the hiring process.
