I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Orange Park, FL) in Jul 2013
Interview
I applied online and about a week later i was called in for an interview. The first interview was with the assistant manager, i answered some "tell me a time when you...." questions then took a 80 question personality/work ethics test (common sense) he told me the next part of the interview was to schedule a second interview but if i didnt past the 80 question test they couldnt hire me. 4 days after my first interview i had an interview with the manager. He ask me more "tell me a time when you....." questions and asked me how much i knew about fishing, hunting, and camping. I filled out a background check and he told me he would let me know if i get offered the job when he gets the background check back. 6 days later i got a call and they said they wanted to offer me the job. A couple days of training then they feed you to the wolves.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Savannah, GA) in Aug 2018
Interview
It was a two step interview with two very likable guys. They were very welcoming, casual, and honest. You could tell they were not trying to make the position better than it was and wanted they really focused on getting to know me and identifying if I would be in the area for a while. It did take around 2 months for me to get a callback for the first interview.

Interview
I applied online and got a call back in about a week and a half.
When I came in, I met with the store manager for about 20 minutes, and scheduled a time to come in and interview with the assistant manager. I came in for the second interview and they offered me a job. They had to run a background check because I would be working in the Lodge Department and then after all that went through, I came in for orientation and training.
