I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DISH (Englewood, CO) in Jun 2010
Interview
Long and drawn out, although I appreciated the thoroughness of the testing and the multiple interviews. Began with a phone interview with corporate in Denver, they liked me enough to fly me out for a full day of interviews with the people I would be working with. My only complaint was that they were unclear of the level of the position until I received my offer letter.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DISH (Englewood, CO) in Sep 2009
Interview
I was first contacted by a member of the finance team to discuss my experience and skills. This interview lasted approximately 30 minutes. After getting accepted for second round interviews they flew me out to Englewood, CO where I met with 4-5 members of the finance team. Each interview lasted approximately 30-45 minutes with questions ranging from basic behavior to in depth case questions. Basically if you understand financial concepts, NPV, ROI, B/S, IS, CFS then you should have no problem getting through the case questions. Just be prepared, be articulate, and be confident. They really rate you on your ability to handle yourself in front of groups of people so be prepared with public speaking examples. This role, and any finance role at Dish will eventually put you in front of Robert Olson the CEO. You must be able to present to C-level executives to have a good career at Dish.
