      Conflicts Analyst Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

I did a video screening through VidCruiter and it was pretty painless. It did feel a bit artificial having a one-sided interview but the recruiting team and tech support were very easy to work with when I needed to redo a prompt.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DLA Piper (New York, NY) in Apr 2023

      Interview

After applying online, you will get a link to do a recorded interview to record your responses on a camera. If you pass this phase, you'll get an invitation to speak with the position supervisor. This took about one week. I had a great conversation with the individual. He asked all the right questions and answered most of my questions. He then recommended me for a third round of interviews with two of his subordinates. I waited one week and got another invitation. The two ladies interviewed separately, so you have to take an hour out of your time because each interview takes 30 mins. Again, the interview went without a hitch. We had a lot of things in common, and I could confidently answer most of their questions. I was told that they would pass their thoughts/remarks to the director, who would interview me, which would be the final interview. After waiting almost two weeks, I followed up only to be told that HR was still awaiting the remarks and the next steps. Shortly after this (four days or so), I got a call from HR. I was told that despite positive feedback, they are pursuing other candidates. Of course, this is gut-wrenching, but I spent 4 hours doing interviews and putting myself out there for these individuals. I am not sure why waste company resources and have an individual tag along for weeks on end, only to be told a NO, without even providing a just reason why someone is not being considered. I have opinions on why I was not moved forward to the 100th interview, but I will reserve my comments for another day. A piece of advice for DLA Piper is that if your supervisor likes the candidate and has recommended the candidate, I am unsure why many interviews are required. This is wasting everyone's time.
