Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DNV in Feb 2021

      Interview

The first round involved an automated process, where 4-5 questions were asked and you responded through a webcam recording with 2 mins of preparation time. The second round was a team interview with four to five people present. The HR team was not very fast or competent, and there was usually about a week of waiting time between each interview. The HR team also did not inform the interviewee that in the 2nd round a technical presentation should be prepared for the interviewers.

      Question 1

Tell us about an example where you were under intense pressure or felt out of your depth – how did you resolve it? A demanding client is asking you to change something in your CFD model that you know isn’t significant and won’t change the results. Making the change will result in delays and added costs. How do you approach the issue?
