I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DSW (New York, NY) in May 2012
Interview
I applied online at DSW.com back in December, they emailed me for an interview; however, the email said if you could not make it, email them and they will set you up with a different date. I did that because the interview was on the Sabbath, but I was never emailed back until April 30th. The interview was on May 9th, and it consisted of a group interview first. If they wanted to continue the process with you, they selected you and you went on for a 1 on 1 interview. The only thing I did not like was that I felt like at my 1:1 interview, the interviewer wasn't paying much attention to me. She kept saying uh huh, and then she told me I got the job and to fill out an availability sheet. Maybe they had already decided I got the job, and that is why. I'm just waiting now on my call to start training (they have to finish the criminal background check first). The interview process took very long because a lot of people came out for the interview, but the interview process itself was good; just be natural. If you have what they're looking for, they'll probably hire you.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at DSW in Jun 2026
Interview
Easy! The manager listed times when she was available, and I was able to choose when to come in. The questions were really straightforward and conversational. I was also able to ask a lot of questions to see if it was a right fit for me!

Interview
Easy. Waited for a manager in the front took me to the back on for store and had the interview in a little room off to the side. Quick process called when I got the job.
