I applied online a month before I got an email securing an interview. I confirmed the interview it was already a set time that they gave me in the email. On the day of the interview I went in and I told the security guard that I had an interview today and he told me to wait and have a seat. I was sitting next to another potential employee. She told me that she came early and they had her waiting. I was wondering what position they called me for because they did not say which one I got called for an email. I initially applied for stock or lead cashier and regular sales associate. When I went in the manager did not give me his name or shook my hand. He did not look at me in my face which I thought was weird. We sat there discussing my experiences in retail. I told him how I work and what I felt is important. I was confident and smiling. I knew I got the job because he was laughing with me. It was a comfortable interview. At the end of the interview he extended an offer of $9.50. He couldn't guarantee me hours when it wasn't holiday season. I told him I would have to think about it because I need something with guaranteed hours. Later, that I emailed the DSW email address given to me and declined the offer.
