Here are the most commonly searched roles for interview reports -
Stage 1: Recruiter Screen (30 mins)
A standard screening call to discuss your background, salary expectations, and why you are interested in DTCC.
Focus: Your 6–9+ years of experience and your familiarity with high-pressure production support.
Stage 2: Digital Interview (HireVue)
DTCC frequently uses HireVue, a pre-recorded video platform. You will be prompted with questions on screen and have a set amount of time to record your response.
Typical Questions: "Describe a time you handled a high-severity incident," or "How do you manage competing priorities during a system outage?"
Stage 3: Technical Deep Dive (60–90 mins)
Since this is a Lead role, expect a panel of senior engineers or architects. They will move beyond basic troubleshooting into system design and leadership.
Infrastructure & OS: Extensive questions on Unix/Linux (log analysis, process inspection, shell scripting).
Databases: Complex SQL/PLSQL queries, performance tuning, and data validation.
Middleware & Messaging: Deep dives into IBM MQ, Kafka, or Tomcat.
Observability: How you use tools like Splunk, DynaTrace, or Grafana to proactively identify issues before they impact the business.
Stage 4: Panel / Behavioral Interview
This stage focuses on leadership and cultural fit. You will likely meet with hiring managers and cross-functional partners (Development or Infrastructure leads).
Strategy: Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
Themes: Incident Management (ITIL), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and mentoring junior support staff.
Stage 5: Final Leadership Interview
Often with a Director or Department Head. This conversation is high-level, focusing on strategic alignment and long-term vision for application stability and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DTCC (Chennai) in May 2024
Interview
I have attended 2 levels of interview.
In First level it was over zoom call, 4 gentlemen came and in 40 mins of call, call got disconnected for 6 times due to connectivity issue at host end. Such a lethargic arrangements for an interview.
Anyways, I have cleared it and moved to level 2. To my surprise, in level 2 also same gentlemen came added few more to it. This time it happened at office premises, but still everyone joined over webex call. The person who joined in person with me didnt ask me anything during interview. I dont know why they have arranged for an interview at office.
It went for full 1 hr. To my knowledge I have answer every question which was asked. Technically very less, but most of them about my previous roles and scenario based questions.
The role required both mainframe and distributed technology skills, for this position I didnt apply, but HR reached out to me after checking my naukri profile. From the beginning I am asking, I have only mainframes skill why am I in.
Initially HR told that the requirement document is common one, which they use for both mainframe and distributed system openings.
But again in level 1 also, I was asked whether I have knowledge in distributed or not. This was shocker for me, as HR told opening for mainframes only. I said NO. But I dont know how they cleared me in first round.
In second round also, I have answered every mainframe related Questions. But same question whether I have worked on distributed technology or not. But this time I was rejected.
I have asked the interview panel when I will get the feedback, they said next day morning. But no update until noon, so reached HR he said he will know by evening of next day. Around 9 PM in night I have reached him in SMS as it may be late, but he replied in SMS itself that I am not shortlisted.
Before all these, HR used to call even for SMS. But this time all drama over and I had bad experience throughout the process.

It was a discussion to know how passionate I am to join the company and make sure if I will join for sure after my 90 days notice period.
