I was asked to set up an interview by email. After agreeing on a date and time i was sent a link to attend the call. It was a group Interview conducted through zoom. The interview was for an entry level position that required a degree but no experience in the field. However every question I was asked made it clear they wanted someone with experience. Every question was along the lines of "do you already know how to do this job?" The next day I was notified they had decided to go with an internal hire. Which I assume was the plan all along. I don't think they ever intended to hire from outside the company. The interview was just to say that they gave everyone a "fair chance."
