I had one of the worst interview experiences with an HR representative. She missed our first scheduled interview because she "forgot" about it. During the rescheduled interview, her attitude was disrespectful, and several of her questions were unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Before talking about growing your company, I suggest investing in proper HR training. Professionalism and respect toward candidates should be a priority, regardless of whether you already have other internal candidate in mind 🙂
