The process was unnecesary long and poorly organized. I talked with ~10 people and have unplanned interviews out of the notified sequence. Something doesn't fell right if so many meetings are needed to make a decision about whether a person is a good fit for a position or not. After a month and a half, I finally reached the logistic call, which was described as a "background and reference check before receiving the offer." It just turned out to be a bunch of questions about job conditions that were quite clear by then (compensation, notice period, etc.). Plus, letting me know that we were several candidates for the position at that stage. Thus, expectations were set incorrectly on the many mails I received and I fell totally frustrated at the moment. Not surprisingly, communication was poor enough afterwards. I was informed that a final decision was going to be made in 2 days. On the 3rd day I asked for an update and I was told they needed another 7 days to analyze the candidates. On the 8th day I asked again for an update and on the 10th day I was told another candidate was selected, with no particular comments. Processes like this are a complete waste of time and make you wonder what is the real value that recruiters and talent teams add to employers and candidates...
