Application & First Contact
I started by submitting my resume and application online. A few days later, I got an email from a recruiter who wanted to schedule a quick call to go over my background, the role, and my availability.
Initial Interview
The first interview was over the phone (or video). It was short, maybe 20–30 minutes. We talked about my experience, why I applied, and what I was looking for. They also asked a few general questions to see if I was a good fit.
Skills/Technical Round
After that, I was given a technical task (or take-home assignment) to test my skills. I had to solve a few problems and explain my thinking. In some cases, it might be a live coding session or practical test depending on the role.
Team Interviews
Next, I met with a few people from the team, sometimes one-on-one, sometimes in a panel. We discussed my past work in more detail, went through some technical questions, and they also asked how I’d handle certain situations. This was a mix of technical and behavioral questions.
Final Interview
In the last step, I spoke with a senior manager or someone from leadership. They asked more about my motivations, career goals, and how I’d fit into the company’s culture and long-term plans.
Offer & Follow-Up
A few days later, they got back to me with their decision. If it went well, they’d make an offer and talk next steps. If not, they usually shared feedback.
