I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks in Dec 2024
Interview
Applied online and got response the day after to schedule recruiter interview. Recruiter was 15 min late to the interview. The recruiter had a very bad attitude. Went over my background and asked about a scenario where I worked with the business to solve a business problem. she didn't let me finish saying we don't have time and asked me for time slot next day for hiring manager interview. She wanted the slot right during the call and was not accommodating, when I said I will check and email her. Then we discussed about salary range and it was pretty low for my experience so I declined. This is the first time I am talking to such a recruiter, usually they are pretty nice and respectful. Make me wonder about the company culture.

Question 1
Questions about my experience and scenario where I worked with business to solve a problem.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial call. My background and experience were not aligned with the role, so we did not proceed to the next round.
Unfortunately, the interview experience was not very positive. The recruiter was late to the scheduled call, and the communication style felt somewhat one-sided and pushy rather than collaborative. I would have appreciated a more balanced and respectful conversation.
Multiple rounds of interview , take home assessment was not very tough . But panel presentation round was tough , it seems they want candidate who can wow them even though all rounds went fine .
I go the first phone call which went pretty well. Then I passed a first panel round on simple architecture. Did first round technical round, but never heard back again.
