I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dave & Buster's (Columbia, SC) in Jan 2017
Interview
I applied for the new Dave & Buster's store opening in Columbia, SC. I applied online on December 13th & received a call to come in for an interview on January 16th. It only took this long because they were not beginning interviews until January 9th.
Upon arriving to the interview, it was like a "speed dating" session. You had 7 minutes with a manager, they would ring a gong, yell switch, and another manager would come to you. They would do this again, so you speak with a total of 3 managers. They made hiring decisions on the spot. However, the manager over the technicians was not there that day, so I was asked to come back the following day first thing in the morning to speak with him. I did this & spoke with him (the amusement manager), who then referred me to meet with the Assistant GM. He then offered me the position & helped me through all of the required paperwork.
My orientation was scheduled for a few days later and I also got my training dates beginning the next week.
They seem to be very flexible with scheduling, as they are willing to work with both my school schedule & my other (full-time) job!
I think I will really love working here!

Wasn’t too difficult. Walked in, spoke to the amusements manager, he asked a few questions, I answered them, said I was available most times except very morning shifts, nothing crazy. Was told on the spot I got the job after getting the okay from the store manager as well.
