Same quickie/speed dating type of initial interview. Pretty nice, fun, different. Not sure why they interview like this. You're in the room with other potentials, and three managers asking questions, all timed around 3-5minutes I think. Typical interview questions.

Interview
The position described on Indeed.com involved secretarial, administrative and office duties. It would also include preparing items for planned events like drink and game tickets and making sure event rooms were prepared in time. This was very much an in-house support role to the Special Events Manager. I believed I was a strong candidate for this job based on my previous experience.
However, when I was interviewed they were looking for someone to meet event sales goals through cold calling, infiltrating and promoting the event services in new markets and setting out on foot around downtown San Antonio to visit nearby hotels. They described this position as very much unsupervised with a large amount of accountability for meeting sales goals.
These two positions were fundamentally very different and I was very taken aback in the interview when I realized the scope of the position they actually wanted to fill.
