      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Apr 9, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Raleigh, NC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at David Weekley Homes (Raleigh, NC) in Apr 2014

      Interview

Took one month and four interviews before I was extended the invitation to work for the company. At times it felt invasive because of the testing, but afterward I felt like I really knew who I would be working for. The last interview I was able to tour the office and meet all the other team members. I felt very comfortable coming to work my first day.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at David Weekley Homes (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I was top 3 of candidates so I went through the whole process on interviewing with this company... > Submitted resume online... took about 2 weeks post submitting my resume to hear back. > 1+ hour initial phone interview to get to know you more. > 1 hour in person interview with division president. > 2+ hour personality assessment you must complete on your own time. > IQ testing done in the offices. > 1 hour final interview with 3 project managers. During this interview they completely dissected my personality results and the whole interview was just about my personality test. I appreciated the lengths that they went to in order to find the "perfect fit" for their company. But, I did find it very odd that my entire personality was dissected and that's what they based their final decision off of. They did not seem overly concerned with the candidates actual work skills and experience. I hardly got ask anything because the basic "tell me about your current position" questions. *They WILL ask you personal questions! If you are not comfortable with that do not apply for this company.

      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Oct 7, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at David Weekley Homes in Sep 2014

      Interview

Pros: Everyone I came in contact with at DW truly seemed to like their jobs, the company, and each other. Cons: Lengthy investment of time (six weeks) and invasive personality tests. 1. Applied Online 2. Phone Interview with local VP 3. Filled out paper application before in-person interview. 4. In-person interview with local VP and would-be manager 5. Returned for 2+ hours of personality and IQ tests (Personality questions, typing, spelling, sentence structure, spatial problems, basic math, and math word problems.) 6. Consented to background check with 3rd party vendor. 7. In-person interview with Regional VP and local manager to discuss personality test results in length and whether I would be a good fit for the position. I was initially excited by the job description, but lost enthusiasm after the first month and began looking into other opportunities. I was slightly annoyed by the dissection of my personality and personal questions about my family, hobbies, and what I did for fun in college. That said, I admire the company's culture and understand the their need to find the best fit for a long-term employee.
