I was reached out to by a 3rd party recruiter. I had 4 interviews total and a "take home assessment". After my interview with the person who would be my manager, I was told it went so well we could likely bypass their assessments.
Despite that, I was sent an assessment. I do have a full tine job, so typically, I decline companies at this stage but decided I would give this a go. After 4.5 hours, sitting down with my husband who used to work in CPQ software and sending this to a past co-worker, we all decided this was impossible to complete. The "instructions" had over 48 grammar mistakes after running this through a simple test on grammarly. The help guide they give you, which is what their customers see has even more mistakes on it. After 4.5 hours, I decided I couldn't dedicate any more time to this. I emailed the team asking if I wasn't able to fully complete the assignment, if it would be a hard stop for the final interview (which was already scheduled). I never heard back. I showed up to the interview with the Director, who realized on the call that they never responded to me.
We had a quick 30 minute interview and I could tell I likely offended him by pointing out the immense grammatical errors on this ridiculous assessment. I got an email on a Sunday at 4:45AM with a generic canned response, I wasn't a good fit. So after giving this company an entire workday's worth of my time, I got no actionable feedback. I have requested feedback and yet to receive any. Goes to show how much they respect their candidates.
Likely a blessing in disguise as this would be a good sign as to what's to come for working at this company. One of the worst interview processes I have ever experienced. While this company will tell you "we're growing like crazy", they have a lot of work to do and will disrespect their candidates along the way.
