      Customer Sucess Manager Interview

      Application

      I interviewed at DealHub (Holon)

      Interview

Save you time and stay away. I applied for a CSM position and passed an initial interview with HR, followed by an interview with one of the managers in the group. The interview was supposed to take half an hour and spilled over into an hour, that was already the first sign that the candidates' time is not respected. Despite the very negative reviews about the atmosphere in the company, I chose to continue the process because the people I met were nice and spoke to the point. I then received a home assignment that included setting up in the system. Unfortunately, you are given a 45-minute video to learn the software and access to the knowledge base, in order to complete the exercise. The exercise is long and takes several hours, especially when you need to reset how the system works. If you add to this the learning time required to understand the software, this is no less than impudence for a candidate's homework. It does not seem that the exercise checks the capabilities as simply a request to perform a full overlap for yourself in case you are accepted so that they will have an easier life. I personally did not finish the exercise because there were things that I could not implemented, among other things due to bugs in the system. I received an email that there were inaccuracies in my exercise and therefore they will not continue with my candidacy, didn't even bother to set a follow up meeting to hear how it was implemented. I have worked in similar positions in other companies and it is clear that the knowledge required to operate software in a complete way is acquired during work and not as part of a candidacy. I think that this requirement of the company is really impudent, which also does not reflect the candidate's ability.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DealHub

      Interview

Applied for a CSM role, and received an invite to a screening session about a week later. However when I entered the call, the recruiter began asking me about a completely different job position. When I mentioned that I had a confirmation email that said differently, they first said that they would look into it, but then let it slip that I wouldn't have qualified. I'm not sure why they feigned ignorance at first, but it wasn't a good look. I also felt like they disparaged my higher education degree; after bringing it up and what I'd like to do with it, they followed that with telling me none of what I did would apply to the position that they were trying to interview me for (again, not CSM). The conversation was polite, but I did not feel good at all about their process. I received a rejection email about a day afterwards, likely because I was much less enthusiastic about the role they tried to push on me instead of CSM. If you believe a candidate is better suited for another role, please reach out to them and let them know. I felt like I was being gaslighted at one point because the interviewer insisted on pretending that I didn't apply to the CSM role, despite me having multiple pieces of evidence that said otherwise. This honestly felt disrespectful.
