      Mission Support Engineer Interview

      Jun 12, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Colorado Springs, CO
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Defense Unicorns (Colorado Springs, CO) in Jun 2025

      Interview

4 steps including a meeting with CEO. I went through 3 rounds, a cultural interview, technical and a meeting with some managers. The interview process was very slow. I think my 3 interviews occurred over 4 weeks. No contact between rounds except for scheduling meetings. They use a cool virtual interface called gather for meetings which is sort of like a little video game. The 3rd meeting seems very much a vibe check with very vague open ended questions. The questions seemed very focused on your experience and aptitude in working in an ever changing vaguely defined environment.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Deploy apps into a cluster in different namespaces, scale up and down a replica set, get the apps to talk to each other with basic kubernetes services.
