I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Detroit, MI) in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied March 30th. Complete dithering application the next day had the hire vue interview a week later and face to face interview the following week. The whole process is a waiting game, but Delta is very particular on how they do things. The interview was quick for me. I had a 1pm appointment. There were about to others who were there also. I was the 1st out of five chosen for the interview thank goodness because there were many who were there since 9am. My interviewer was nice and I was asked 6 questions. 3 similar to the hire vue video. I answered the questions in STAR FORMAT and was very clear. I received positive feed back and I was called back up to be informed I will receive a call in a few weeks. Considering the background check takes awhile. Here it is 3 wks later & I'm still waiting, so I've been told it does take that long. Though others experiences are different.
