Interview
There are several levels to the interview process and it does vary a little if you are an internal vs. external candidate. The first step is usually a recorded video interview via HireVue. Then, depending on the role 2-3 virtual/in-person, interviews with a variety of leaders in the department. There has also been a leader from a completely other division that has joined in the last round for a different perspective.
Delta has a "pay grade" structure. Therefore, they often posts positions that are technically more promotional "grades" and they have a candidate already in mind, and results in unnecessary time spent and getting peoples hopes up when they know they already have someone picked out for a much deserved promotion. These days DE&I are so important, you have to ponder if they are looking at other factors to "choose the best" person for the role. It's 2021 and I know many companies are doing the same thing.
