I had applied for Delta in January 2013 but never made it passed the phone interview. At the beginning of October, my friend who works for Delta as a flight attendant gave me a referal and I was sent an email asking if I would like to apply for the flight attendant position. My resume went through and I was called about a week later asking me for a phone interview. They call you from an unavailable number, so make sure you keep your phone close by. You will also need to have your passport handy because they will ask for the expiration date. These are the questions I can remember from the phone interview.
1. A man has become intoxicated on the flight and is asking for another cocktail, how do you handle the situation
2. A child is running up and down the aisle of the plane, making a lot of noise and customers are complaining, what would you do?
3.A child is asleep on the floor in front of his/her parents seat but they do not want to wake him. It is against safety regulations and the fasten seatbelt sign is on, what do you do?
Answer your questions is STAR format, if you succeed with these you will go into another round of questions about personal customer service experiences.
1. Name a time you had a misunderstanding with another employee at work, how did you handle it.
2. Give two examples of a time someone has been dishonest with you
3. Name a time a customer has been angry with you
4. Name a time when you had to convince fellow employees to get something accomplished.
5. Name a time when you were overwhelmed at work, and how you handled it
Just always think that they want you to be doing whatever you can to please your customers and also be a leader! At the end of the interview the HR told me that someone would contact me by phone or email and she wished me good luck. I thought that meant I did not get the position because other poster's have said they tell you right away. Well they called two days later to set up a F2F and I will be going at the beginning of November. Hopefully it will go good! I appreciate any suggestions!

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.

I want to come here and say. The virtual ODVI is based on behavioral questions and situations practice your start method is very important easy and hard all at the same time.
Name a time when you held yourself in high standards. Name a time you didn’t follow rules but knew you at to something along those lines. I can’t remember exactly. But practice everyone. Star method best of luck to all. Keep trying don’t give up.

(odvi)For the ODVI they give you an unlimited amount of time to prepare before hitting record. Not sure if the camera is still capturing you while you are preparing for the question even though you didn’t hit record so be mindful of that
