      Flight Attendant Interview

      Dec 13, 2013

      Atlanta, GA

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2013

      Interview

Nov 12th- Online application & Assessment. Nov 21st- Interactive Questionnaire. Answers were recorded. (Check your Spam folder! Did not realize I had response on Nov 23rd.) Dec 8th - Offered F2F interview on Dec 12th 7:30am. No rescheduling. Dec10th- Received Info package & Flight Itinerary. Booked hotel for Dec 11th. (Hyatt Place South: Delta Corp rate $70+ tax. Free Breakfast. No Hotel Shuttle available. Taxi fare $22.) Dec12th- Separated to 4 groups. Group 1, Individual F2F interview with 2 HR personnel. 6 STAR questions and given a slip of paper with info to announce from. Group 2, Reach/ Jump Seat Test, questions for HR & name the 1 person you would like to travel with on a plane & why. Group 3, Fireside Chat.Questions for HR while another personnel goes over individual applications for any changes. Group 4, Uniform & a day in the life of Flight Attendant video. Everyone goes up to state their names, where they are from, languages they speak & what they are currently doing. HR Personnel were ALL very professional, very friendly, and very helpful! Although I was not one of the few asked to stay back, it had been a pleasant experience. It would have been a great honor to work in Delta Airlines, had I been successful. And with my 30+ years of experience in customer service, I know that I would have been a great asset to Delta. En route to the interview on Delta Airlines, the Flight Attendants on board were friendly enough despite what the public reviews said. I guess they just needed more Flight Attendants who cared. I was hired as a Flight Attendant at Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong) 30 years ago. I was a Malaysian then, and the hiring process was quite similar. Out of the thousands who applied, only 4 of us (from Malaysia) were chosen. I had to quit even before I started as I chose to get married. (They only hire; single, age 19-25 years old, at least 5' 4" females, at that time). And I have regretted that decision ever since. So, all you young ones out there, do the best you can, while you can. On a much personal note; speaking from experience, America has the most compassionate, giving, and selfless people in the World! I have never been prouder to be known as an American. If everyone tries to do a good deed (give a praise!), everyday, no matter how small, we CAN have World Peace! If you care, it shows! Pay it forward!! All the Best to y'all!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I should have asked more about the paragraph before presenting the announcement during the F2F interview. Eric and Debra were very patient and professional, wished I have elaborated.

      Interview

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
