I applied online. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2022
Interview
Consist of 3 parts:
1st: Online Assessment
2nd: Video Interview
3rd: In-Person Interview
This process takes entirely too long for such little benefits. First completed the assessment it took about 2 weeks to have the video interview scheduled, the video interview consist of basic interview questions it does ask about Delta's core values so may sure you remember at least 1 of those and they interview using the star method. After the video interview it took about 2-3 weeks to schedule in person interview. The in person will leave you tired and hungry and burnt out, you are expected to talk and socialize the entire 4 hours even during the breaks they are not really breaks they are watching you to see whom and if you interact with everyone. Everyone is split into 3 groups A, B, C. Each group does one activity at an time; 1 group does 1 on 1 in person interview, 2nd group does the reach and sit test, 3rd group does the cart activity which consist of working together in a group to put food and drinks on a cart based on parameters listed on the activity sheet. This honestly was my most exhausting interview.
Long story short they dismiss in groups if you are dismissed you did not get the job! Don't let anyone lie to you in about 5-7 days you will receive your rejection letter.
About the job if selected: It will consist of a 6 week training which again you still have to wait to start and you will be housed in hotel with a roommate...and for 6 weeks there is paid training at $7/hr and guess what you have to maintain an average while in the training or you will be sent home, if you fail at the end and don't pass the test you will be sent home. This job only pays about $30/hr which doesn't seem low until you realize that you will not be based in the city you live and due to that any travel and hotel while not working is on you...yup you heard it right you either pay for your own accommodations or you can roommate with several other people for about $250/month or more so you will have a place to stay if you don't want to relocate to where your based. The flight attendants kept saying it gets better after 10-12 years lol. Honestly you mine as well go back to school and get a real career or pick up a trade and less stress and more money.
I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
