I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2015
Interview
Group interview with 15 other candidates started off in a common waitin area waiting for everyone to arrive, then the manager moves to introduce you to all of the other managers and they look to see how friendly you are how you interact with others, if you're outgoing or shy. Then you go in a room and introduce yourself (name, where you would fly if you got the job, what does connect mean to you) the managers sit in the back of the room like American idol. After you watch some videos, the first portion of the interview starts. My first part was sales where I had to sell an item to the manager. After that you wait some more until the customer service part of the interview where you're asked standard questions (tell me about a time when...) then comes even more waiting. The total interview time is 5 hours, 30 minutes of which is one on one time. The managers all talk about the interviews and decide on candidates... The manager came in and named of a little over half the group which she says she has already finished their interview paper work and the rest of the group needs to hang back until she finishes the rest.. The group that stays back gets offered the job and stays to fill out paperwork! They brought confetti and all the managers come around and shake hands and congratulate the chosen candidates! The whole process was very long and you had to be escorted everywhere but it was fun!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time.... They want the questions answered in STAR format ..
It was rather basic but they are not concerned with customers and how you interact with them. Could be better but I don’t know I upper management has those concerns in mind
Simple and easy. Organised no confusion or time wasters. Got thru quickly. Everyone is really friendly and kind. But understand that the job is really not that easy. For people like me who are used to regular hours and need family time, this is not the best option for me.

Question 1
Give examples of times you have tackled difficult customers.
Relatively standard for the position. Asked about experience and how I would address certain situations. Average and what you would expect for a standard customer service role. Two total interviews lasting about 30 minutes each.
