Interview
Online questionnaire reviewing both technical skills and critical thinking, followed by a phone interview. Successful candidates are later contacted to come in for and on the job observation of a current employee, usually a trainer or a department role model. This is followed by an in person interview with a department manager where you will be asked a series of situational questions and an in-depth job description will be reviewed with you as well. You will need to sign off on the list of expectations they read to you, so be sure to pay attention and ask for any clarifications you may need.
NOTE: If you do not pass the online questionnaire you need to complete with your application, you will automatically eliminated from the list of candidates and your resume won't be read by anyone. A lot of questions involve observing a photo, clicking continue, and then being asked to tell all of the items that have changed in a second photograph of the same scene. This shows you can pay attention to even the smallest of details. It's harder than you may think!

Question 1
All questions are asked in the STAR format. If you have no idea what that is, I highly suggest you do a lot of research into it. Not only do most Marriott properties use this format, but a lot of customer service-orientated companies have adopted the format as well.
