After clearing all the technical rounds, I was told by HR to wait two weeks for the fitment round, as the hiring manager was on leave. However, I later learned that the position would be filled by an internal candidate, so the fitment round was cancelled. If that was the case, why was I even called for a walk-in drive? It was a complete waste of time.

The interview questions were very mediocre . To answer them correctly you have to know all the Java /spring documentation by heart. Interviewer assumed the answer to a generic question if candidate cannot answer exact same words its considered wrong.
