DO recruiter contacted me. I expressed strong interest in the position. They scheduled a 1:1 with the hiring manager. We talked about my experience, culture, technology, etc. They gave me the thumbs up for more interviews and I had a series of 5 interviews, all teleconferenced, over 3 days, one hour each, ranging from deep technical discussions, soft skills discussions, to in depth architecture exercises. I was very impressed with all the interviewers. They were all very kind and easy to talk to. DigitalOcean's response time every time I expected a response was always immediate, even if to let me know that they needed extra time to get back to me. The entire process was extremely transparent and really turned me onto to saying yes to the company. The company culture at DO is great!
