Interview
It's a really pleasant experience interviewing with DigitalOcean, especially comparing with my interviews with other companies.
DO will assign you a hiring manager that help you throughout your interview process. You can ask him any question you have about DO or regarding the job you are interviewing for. One thing really worth to mention is, the LOVE culture here in DO is not just a slogan but real! People are really nice and always willing to help. Whenever you have questions during the whole interview process, you can always hear back from either the hiring manager, HR, or your direct manager in the future very soon. Unlike some other companies where the interview is just about being challenged by those interviewers, interviewers in DO are trying their best to make you feel comfortable and show the real yourself to see whether you are a perfect fit for the position.
Last but not least, the remote culture of DO is the best that I've ever seen. You may have a lot of questions and kinda hesitate about working remotely, just like me before my interview. But trust me, DO have solutions for all of your concerns and you won't regret your choice.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (Hyderābād) in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview went well they asked questions based on the resume. However after interviewer failed to communicate what was interviewed. I said things outside resume as it felt like he was talking about others resume.
6 Rounds total, with one recruiter screen and 5 technical conversation style (no coding interview) interviews. No behavioral or system-design, which was expected for this role. Everybody was very friendly and knowledgeable. The recruiter was pleasant and helpful.
