I have never written a review on Glassdoor, just to preface this review. This entire experience has been the most exhausting and disappointing interview experience of my life.
A recruiter emailed me regarding a position I applied for. I responded and heard back right away for an interview.
Interview went great, told her I was receiving other offers currently so the timing was very last minute for me.
She said no problem, we will get these interviews scheduled right away.
First video interview with a team member I would be working with went fantastic. I followed up with a personal email right after and received a lovely response back.
Next the interview with the hiring manager who actually found me and said he was very impressed by me and kept throwing compliments my way. It went great.
Said he was moving me to the next round immediately and that he knew I was receiving other offers so was going to get this process started with the next round of interviews as soon as possible.
I was then passed from the recruiter to the "coordinator".
I was asked to enter my availability through an online portal.
No response. A full week wasted. I followed up and no response. I followed up AGAIN and cc'd the recruiter because I am on a tight deadline. FINALLY a response.
She asked for my availability through email and I have it to her with the BEST available days.
No response again. I called the recruiter on Friday to express my concern before the following week (Monday was to be the first interview) and she said that they didn't want to miss out on me and were getting those scheduled right away.
It sounds like a joke but the coordinator scheduled my interviews for the OPPOSITE days. So I had to make it work.
The following week, the first woman I met with didn't care who I was and DEFINITELY didn't treat me like ANY of the other interviews. It was like an interrogation. No pleasantry. One question after another and no back and forth no matter how much I tried. Nothing this company claims it's interview process should be. I know by this review it sounds like I might be harsh but I try to always be a kind and thoughtful person.
I followed up with a very thoughtful email and a link to an article that directly related to everything this company claims it values. She never clicked on the link (Medium tracks). She is the ONLY person that didn't respond to my email. Each email was tailored to that person and each interviewer responded and loved my article... except for her. keep in mind these interviews are almost an hour each and there were 7 TOTAL including the recruiter. That is a lot of time and effort for all of this!
The following interviews were all wonderful. Each interviewer told me I was qualified for the role - their words! This is the worst part.
Finally I wrapped up with the hiring manager again and he said the last guy he spoke with wanted to hire me and he received great feedback! I even mentioned the one that I felt didn't show me at my best and that I followed up with each one. He said NO MATTER WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING GOOD NEWS FROM US. Tomorrow you will be hearing from me and I promise it will be good either way. We just received more funding and have enough in the budget not to wait for a new role if you don't get this one. We can hire you on just to get you in with us because you would fit in so well here just to get you in the door at least.
Friday came... I was checking my email all day. Finally late afternoon the recruiter sends a playful email saying she was going to give me "feedback" Monday. Even though she was 3 hours behind and definitely didn't have to make me wait for a 15 minute scheduled call when I have OTHER OFFERS WAITING.
No contact from the hiring manager. No call. They knew what a timeline I was on and still... wait until Monday. JUST TO TELL ME PLEASE TRY AGAIN when you find a role best suited to your skillset. I put off REAL offers and believed these LIES. I am in shock. Complete and total shock and so hurt by this draining process and by the lies I was told.
