Horrific. They have a gaping lack of technical leadership, so DigitalOcean is using their interview process to fish proprietary details from competitors. They pushed me through 11 rounds with their top marketing leadership without once introducing a technical question or asking about my proficiency in the technical space. Every conversation kept veering towards details questions into exactly how their competitors I had worked with ran their organizations. To which I refused to comment.
They reached out on LinkedIn. When I refused based on their salary range (half the market rate) they asked me my range then immediately went forward acting like they were okay with the high end. That should have been my first red flag. BEWARE before interviewing with them.
