I applied online. I interviewed at Dollar General (Saint Albans, WV) in Aug 2017
Interview
I was called to a store that I did not apply for, and went in the store, had to go find the manager in one of the aisles. We, then went into an office where trash was all over the floor. He was very nice and 5 days into the company. He told me that DG would not come close to what I was being paid to just manage one department.

Asked me about job experience, receiving, merchandising, and pretty much told me that the store runs on a dime. No coverage and a lot of call-offs due to no accountability.

Interview
Very easy, not professional. Ask a few general questions and talk about responsibilities. Make sure you have your own vehicle to go to the bank. There are no excused call outs. Then walk you around the store.
Very laid back. Gave a lot of details on the job I was interviewing for. They did a good job of explaining the hours and what shift I would be on most of the time. Very accommodating on interview time slots available.
