I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dollar Tree (Menifee, CA)
Interview
Because they were opening a new store, they held walk-in interviews outside the location's main entrance. After standing in line with other applicants, I interviewed with one of the managers conducting interviews. The entire interview took less than ten minutes or so (they had a lot of people to get through) and I ended up getting a callback and a job offer about a week later.
Since my manager needed employees to help prepare the new store, this interview went fairly easy and did not involve much questions. She asked me about my availability and informed me of the dress code.
The interview process tends to be easy overall; the most important things to speak about the hours of availability and to discuss customer service skills as well. These things will surely help to secure a store associate job at Dollar Tree.
bad process, as expected from this company. do not recommend for the salary they pay it is not worth it. work hours are terrible, no perspective, goals are unrealistic. hard labor that pays nothing and destroys your health long term
