Had a short phone interview with a recruiter, then was given a data set to analyze and use to put together a proposal. It was estimated to take 6 hours to complete this exercise. As general feedback, I would have preferred to speak with a direct colleague or manager to get a better understanding of the role and if I would be a good fit before spending a significant amount of time with a case study. On the phone I was told I would have 48 hours to complete this exercise, and received it at 5pm on a Thursday. I began working on the assignment Saturday morning, and received an automated email at 11am saying they did not receive my assignment so I was being removed from the interview process. I emailed the individual I had the phone screen with the see if there was a misunderstanding on the timeframe, and never heard a response. The process felt very impersonal, I wish I hadn't wasted my time.
