This is an incredibly frustrating and disrespectful process. First chatted with the recruiter - it was fine. Next, they give you a take home open ended analytics assignment where you are given a data set to analyze. Took me 8 hours and passed that part. Next, I was given a SQL test from someone a couple years out of undergrad and a case interview with someone having maybe a couple more years experience. I think the case interviewer was going to be my boss? None of that was explained lol. Both interviewers read from a script, acted superior, and seemed non-human. I finished the SQL test early and the interviewer awkwardly didn’t know what to do post interview. She looked like she didn’t want to be there. Overall, I thought I did well on both interviews, but got the canned rejection email saying they don’t give feedback. Quite frankly, I’m glad the process didn’t go further - supposedly they would have wasted my time with 4 more interviews. Completely one sided process and disrespectful to the candidate. No time for questions from the interviewee. Wouldn’t surprise me if DoorDash was interviewing quality folks just to pick their brain on how to look at their business. My suggestion to DoorDash. Do the analytics assessment post interviews.
